The Raven offers a traditional welcome and hospitality with open fires, and a wide range of cask ales, international lagers and wines which complement the varied menu served in the recently refurbished bar and restaurant. Famous guests include Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson, and Enid Blyton wrote her first book here while headmistress at a local school. The function rooms can cater for business meetings and celebrations as well as being licensed to hold wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.
